I think Apple deliberately ripped off 4+ million people who purchased an iPad in 2010 by selling them a product that did not include any type of camera even though the technology existed and is included in several of their other products (iPhone & iTouch). I believe they held back the camera feature on purpose. My theory is that they knew the iPad was innovative enough that people would buy the product without a camera. Then, less than a year later, they could release the 2nd generation iPad with the camera upgrade. Smart marketing right? You watch, the latest media blitz for the upcoming iPad will focus the benefits of the front and backward facing camera. All of this in hopes of convincing those same 4+ million customers to re-purchase the iPad.
What's your opinion?
